Here's a mistake you can easily avoid. If all the details of your real estate transaction are not completed well in advance of the closing day the negotiations could continue into the actual closing. That's not a good idea because people will have to make important decisions with insufficient time to attend the details.

Try to finalize all the details of your transaction well before the closing day. Be sure to read and rearead the closing documents to make sure they are free of errors. You do not want to interrupt the closing by finding important errors in the documents or that repairs that should have been made remain unfinished.

Do this and you will have a comfortable closing.
